Femke Lunter, born in Eindhoven, received in 2004 her Bachelor of Music in trumpet at the Utrecht Conservatory under the study of W. van der Vliet. She decided to specialize in early music and enrolled at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague, where she currently studies baroque trumpet with S. Williams. She will graduate with a Bachelor's degree in baroque trumpet in June 2008.She has worked with such orchestras as La Stravaganza Köln, Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra, Il Fondamento, Cristofori, Florilegium Musicum, New Dutch Academy, Collegium Musicum Den Haag, Nederlands Trompet Consort, Contrasto Armonico, Göttingen Barock Orchester, Bremen Barock Orchester. She has followed masterclasses by H. Gansch, M. McNab, P.O. Lindeke, M. Chance, F. Klinger, P. van Heijghen, P. Kooij, among others, and worked with such directors as Philippe Herreweghe, Jos van Immerseel, Robert Levin, Viktor Libermann, Chritobald Halffter, Ton Koopman, Jaap ter Linden, Barthold Kuijken, Kenneth Montgomery, Jurrien Hempel, Otto Tausk, Ryo Terakado. During her studies she has acquired much teaching experience, and since 2000 has observed trumpet and bugle lessons at a variety of music associations. She currently teaches at a number of music schools, e.g. the American School of the Hague in Wassenaar. |
